Catholic writers reflect their heritage in their works, and generations of readers have continued to appreciate the Catholic literary tradition. This encyclopedia covers the vast realm of Catholic literature from its origins to today. Included are alphabetically arranged entries on more than 70 major works from around the world. Special attention is given to women writers and to writers from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds.
